Clubs & Communities

Discussion Workshops

I hold monthly debates to nurture, enrich and grow community, on love, relationships, and the deeper philosophical questions that help us navigate and understand the world and life.

We debate subjects most people avoid, we learn to disagree in a safe and healthy environment.

I research each event thoroughly, bringing data and science to inform from a space that goes beyond assumptions and social media non-sense.

Participants live with a sense of belonging, practical, and pragmatic multicultural wisdom.

Testimonials

“Carole asked us, ‘What is your missing pleasure?’ I said, ‘I miss acting.’ The next day I met another filmmaker from the group, and together we wrote and shot a short film.”

“I’ve loved coming to Deep Talks because the talks attract all sorts of people and characters, and I think it’s always good to hear other people’s experiences in life and to hear other perspectives from other countries.

Deep Talks is like those spaces where you can wonder about things and get answers to questions like ‘Do values really matter?’ or ‘Is tourism a form of colonialism?’ or ‘Should we bring back rites of passage’, which was my favourite talk.

When I first started to attend, I wasn’t expecting to learn so much. Beyond that, it has also been a space where it felt safe for me personally to be vulnerable and say what I think. And I have really enjoyed making friends with people who love to talk as much as me.”
